China Branch Manager (Tianjin, China)
Our company is an established and recognized market intelligence and strategic development authority in the international education sector with 10 years market experience and both UNWTO Affiliate and ESOMAR memberships. We provide market research and strategic development services to over 100 governments, institutions, investors and diverse groups of high ranking companies in 47 countries around the globe.
We are looking for a smart and experienced individual to represent our China Branch and lead the local team of 7 young (between 25-35 years old) and talented staffers.
Responsibilities:
Keep the CEO fully informed in a timely and candid manner
Help the CEO position the company competitively within industry
Present new ideas and strategies to CEO and Senior Management Officers
Participate in Senior Management Meetings
Develop an annual plan that supports the company’s long-term strategy
Implement business strategies, plans and procedures
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
Lead the team and the branch toward sustainable growth and profitability
Establish and support policies that promote branch company’s culture and vision
Oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of all processes
Ensure the smooth functioning of all the processes in the branch company
Build a great working environment motivating staff performance and dedication
Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Create/adjust/check/sign agreements with partners
Coordinate with HR suppliers to recruit skilled talent and keep the best employees
Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
Manage relationships with clients, partners and local suppliers
Requirements:
5-7 years of experience in middle to higher management position in foreign enterprise, WFOE or joint venture (sphere of international education or the other areas, such as: travel & tourism, b2b sales & marketing, commerce or consulting)
Leadership skills and experience
English proficiency (fluent)
Mandarin (Chinese) proficiency (operational)
Business correspondence (advanced)
Intercultural understanding and effective communication
HR and project management
Planning & management of financial resources
Strategic planning and implementation
Sound judgement and decision making
Critical thinking and problem solving
Risk and crisis management
Human Resources management including performance monitoring and assessment
