Qualifications
• Leadership and ability to market our media websites on the internet and to potential clients and media outlets.
• Experience in web marketing.
• Firm understanding of web 2.0 concepts and ability to utilize concepts to improve the websites.
• Ability to manage the content of the website to a high editorial standard.
• Knowledge or experience with a CMS such as wordpress is a plus.
• Prior experience with web site management desirable.
Ability to write content and copy-check.
• Be able to handle some scripting and code, or able to learn — but not at a programmer level.
• Skills in HTML and CSS highly desirable.
Metropolis, the number 1 magazine for foreigners in Japan is looking for a Web Master to join our expanding team. This is an urgent position, as we have a many projects on the immediate horizon. We prefer someone who is bilingual but would consider a non-Japanese speaker who has several years of experience with web marketing. This is not a web designer job, but rather and marketing and content editing position. Native/fluent level English necessary to perform the duties of the job.
